Lash Appointment Reminders
- Contact lenses CANNOT be worn during lash applications. Please bring along a contact lens case with solution to store your lenses during your appointment. You may replace your contact lenses immediately following your appointment.
- DO NOT wear eye makeup, mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, etc. to your appointment, as makeup residue may prevent your lash application from properly adhering.
- Lashes MUST NOT contact water or steam for 24 hrs following application. Therefore, appointments should be scheduled 2 - 3 days prior to big events {weddings, travel, etc.}.
- Lash tinting may prevent lash extensions from properly adhering, and should be scheduled 1 - 2 days prior to a lash extension appointment.
- Lash Extensions WILL NOT BE APPLIED on persons under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Eyelash extensions CANNOT be applied to persons allergic to any type of adhesive {band-aids, etc.}
- Please disclose any eye conditions, injuries, medications or treatments used on, in or affecting the eye area in advance.
Wax Appointment Reminders
- AVOID tanning 24 hrs prior to your appointment. AVOID facials 24 hrs prior to a facial waxing appointment.
- Make sure that you are NOT using alpha or beta hydroxyl acids, Vitamin A or D treatments, chemical peels, glycolic acids, Retin-A, Differin, Accutane or other prescription acne medications or chemical exfoliants in the areas to be waxed. THESE PRODUCTS WEAKEN THE SKIN AND MAY CAUSE IT TO TEAR.
- Ensure that areas to be waxed are free of cuts, abrasions, irritation or infection.
- The ideal length for hair being removed is about 1/4 inch. So do a little trimming if hair is too long, or wait a little longer if too short.
Microblading Appointment Reminders
The right precare and aftercare can truly make a massive difference on results. You will get much better results when you properly prep. The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive and non-irritated. Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure.
- Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before procedure
- Do not tan two weeks prior or have sunburned face
- Do not have any type of facial/peel 2 weeks prior to treatment
- Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol products one month prior to treatment
- Do not work out the day of the procedure.
- Do not have botox 3 weeks prior.
- Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners)
- Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days before the procedure.
- In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit.
- Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before your treatment.
- Do not consume coffee before your procedure.
- Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood).
The day of the treatment: Absorb
Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
Days 1-7: Wash
Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. (Don't worry....THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap like Dial Soap, Cetaphil or Neutrogena. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.
Days 1-7 Moisturize
Apply care cream with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The care cream should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the care cream on a wet or damp tattoo.
Tips after microblading
- Use a fresh pillowcase
- Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color
- No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
- Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.
- Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 10 days.
- Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
- Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days
- Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area
- DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.
- Smoking
Important note about showering:
Limit your showers to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet at the very last end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
Remember, with the proper prep and aftercare routine you will have much better results with your microblading procedure.
What to expect during and after your microblading session
Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure
This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in
completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see
some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is
naturally exiting your skin.
Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry
skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly,
however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.
Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your
eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade
away more quickly.
You can now enjoy your beautiful new temporary eyebrows. You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!
